Long Island Addiction Treatment Resources is a peer-led recovery resource providing professional support to individuals and families seeking addiction treatment in Long Island. Our team consists of Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPA) and Certified Addiction Recovery Coaches (CARC)—professionals in recovery who combine lived experience with formal training.

We help people access trusted rehabilitation providers that match their preferences, location, and insurance coverage throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. We utilize evidence-based practices, including SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment), to provide quality support services.

When you share health information with us so that we can help you access care, we treat that information with the same level of confidentiality required by applicable law.

Laws that apply

We maintain privacy and security programs designed to comply with United States privacy and security requirements that may apply to the information we handle, including:

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, as amended, and its implementing regulations (HIPAA) when we act as a covered entity or business associate
  • Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder Patient Records, 42 CFR Part 2, when applicable
  • Federal and New York privacy, consumer protection, and data security laws, including the New York SHIELD Act security safeguards
  • Telephone Consumer Protection Act for call and text consent practices
  • Other laws that may apply based on how you interact with our services
